Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 June 2026

These terms explain how DineTrade works, what you pay when you book, and how cancellations and refunds are handled. By booking a table through DineTrade, you agree to them.

1How DineTrade works

DineTrade is a live market for restaurant tables. Independent restaurants post real-time food discounts and perks to fill quiet tables. You watch the board, find an offer you like, and secure it with a small booking fee. DineTrade is operated by LounjApp Ltd. We connect you with restaurants — your meal itself is provided by, and is the responsibility of, the restaurant.

2Offers & discounts

  • Discounts apply to food only. Drinks are charged at full price.
  • A restaurant may offer a percentage discount, a perk (for example a free item), or both — perks stack on top of any food discount.
  • Each offer applies to the specific date, time and table availability shown when you book.
  • Offers are subject to availability and can change or sell out at any time before you book.

3Booking fee

You pay a small booking fee to secure your offer. There is no deposit and nothing is held against your bill:

  • The fee is £2 per person, capped at £5 per booking. A table of 2 pays £4; a table of 3 or more pays £5 in total.
  • This is a processing fee paid to DineTrade. It is not a deposit, and no part of it goes to the restaurant. The fee may be refundable depending on when you cancel — see Cancellations & refunds below.
  • You pay for your food and drinks in full at the restaurant, with your discount and any perk applied to your food bill.
The booking fee is what keeps DineTrade running. If you need to cancel, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund depending on timing (see section 4). The real value is the offer itself — your discount and any perk. Example — a table for 2: £4 to book; a table for 4: £5 to book.

4Cancellations & refunds

You can cancel your booking at any time using the cancel link in your confirmation email. How much of your booking fee is refunded depends on when you cancel:

  • Within 60 minutes of booking — full refund (100%) of your fee.
  • More than 24 hours before your booking time — 50% refund of your fee.
  • Within 24 hours of your booking time, or after it — no refund. You can still cancel to free up the table.

Refunds are made to the card you paid with and typically appear within 5–10 business days. When you cancel, we automatically let the restaurant know so they can release your table — you do not need to contact them yourself.

"Within 24 hours" means 24 hours before the date and time of your booking.

Because your booking is for a specific date and time, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to it. The cancellation and refund terms set out above apply instead.

5Honouring offers

Restaurants agree to honour every offer they publish — the food discount and any perk — exactly as posted, for any diner who has booked that slot. If a restaurant does not honour an offer you booked, please contact us at restaurant@dinetrade.co.uk and we will look into it. Restaurants that repeatedly fail to honour offers, or that receive repeated verified diner complaints, may be suspended or removed from the DineTrade board at our discretion.

If a restaurant cancels your booking, closes, or fails to honour an offer you booked, you are entitled to a full refund of your booking fee. Contact us at guest@dinetrade.co.uk and we will refund you in full, to the card you paid with, within 5–10 business days.

6Reviews

To keep the board trustworthy, reviews on DineTrade come from verified diners. You can only leave a review if you have created a DineTrade account and actually booked and attended through the platform. We may moderate or remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or that breach these terms.

Any review that is offensive, insulting, defamatory, or that targets or abuses an individual will be removed. We also allow restaurants to publicly respond to reviews and to appeal a review they believe is unfair. Where a review is reported or appealed, a DineTrade moderator will review it, and the moderator's decision is final.

7Using DineTrade

  • You must provide accurate information when you join or book, and you are responsible for keeping your account details secure.
  • You agree not to misuse the platform, make fraudulent bookings, or attempt to disrupt the service.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

8Liability

DineTrade provides the platform that connects diners and restaurants. The meal, service and venue are provided by the restaurant, and any issues with your meal are primarily a matter between you and the restaurant. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law. To the extent permitted by law, DineTrade is not liable for matters outside our reasonable control.

We will provide the DineTrade booking service with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

9Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one shown at the time you book. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last changed.

10Complaints & governing law

If something goes wrong with a booking, please contact us first at guest@dinetrade.co.uk so we can put it right. We aim to respond within 5 working days. These terms, and any dispute relating to them or to your booking, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. This does not affect your statutory rights, including any right to bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
